Picking the perfect hotel is vital to your bachelor party success. You need to have the things you’re doing close, while maintaining a budget that a wide number of your friends can attend. You have a number of choices depending on the size of your group, the budget, and the sharing of rooms.
We have broken down our choices in four categories as follows:
Party Hearty: If your bachelor party is all about raging and having fun, it can be advantageous to stay at a hotel that gives you options without having to treck up and down the strip. Drunken debauchery and trying to stumble down the strip don’t necessarily mix, so these hotels will let you party and then stumble back to the room, grab a nap, and hit up a restaurant without ever leaving the property.
The Suite Life: If the budget isn’t the top priority, getting a suite is a great way to keep the party going and not getting rooms on separate floors and different towers. If you’re trying to relive The Hangover, this is likely the option for you.
Downtown Debauchery: Downtown could be a great place to celebrate your impending doom (err, marriage). The room are cheaper, the entertainment more raunchy, the drinks stiffer, and the odds cheaper. If you don’t need the glitz and glam of the strip, downtown Vegas could be perfect.
VEGAS INSPIRED COLLECTIONS
Upscale All The Way: If you want the hottest party in the nicest hotels on the strip, this might be for your party. If you want the top entertainers, the best food, and the ultimate luxury for your bachelor party, this is the option for you.
The Cosmopolitan: The Suite Life
The Cosmopolitan is one of our favorite hotels on the strip, with an awesome location, amazing food option in every category, hip casino, and plenty of entertainment. It comes with a premium price tag, but that buys you one of the coolest stays on the strip.
It’s not the typical home of a bachelor party fueled by cheap beer, but if you’re looking for a something a bit more classy, Cosmo is a great destination. This is our top destination for bachelorette parties and is one of the places to be seen in Vegas, offering plenty of opportunities to meet the pretty people. You will always find plenty of people to mingle with at The Chandelier Bar, the most interesting bar on the strip!
The Cosmopolitan has 1, 2, and 3 bedroom suites that have amazing views (for the pre and post-party), sweet balconies that can overlook the Fountain, and plenty of space for your whole crew.
SAVE BIG IN VEGAS
The Two Bedroom City Suite is the most affordable Cosmo option for two bedrooms, with a king and two queens, as well as 2.5 baths and seating area. This is one suite without a terrace, but this is still a great option in the middle of the strip.
The 2 bedroom city suite for a Thursday – Sunday in June (11-14) would be $2,967 and “technically” allows up to 6 guests. With a group of 6, that would be $600/guy if the bachelor isn’t paying or $500/guy if he is for 4 nights. For smallish parties, this can be a great option.
If you’re crew can really ball out, the tow or three bedroom Chelsea Penthouse is the ultimate luxury on the strip. Panoramic views, wet-bar, kitchenette over 2400-3700 sq.ft. offer you all the room your group needs.
These would run closer to $1,500/night on weekdays and $2,750 per night, so the same Thursday – Sunday in June would be $9,000 all in. So with 6 guys, it would run $1,500/guy for the ultimate luxury including a 24-hour butler.
Other The Suite Life Vegas hotels to consider: Venetian/Palazzo, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Aria
- Venetian & Palazzo are together a huge hotel, all suites, great food options, good nightlife. It gets a lot of convention traffic during the summer and fall & is not centrally located, which drops it down slightly, but you can’t go wrong here.
- Caesars Palace would likely be my second choice in this category. It has a top nightclub (Omnia) with many of the same caliber acts as Hakkasan. It has awesome food options and plenty of room options, from affordable to outrageous (see The Hangover 1 & 3). It has a great hotel pool area, attached shopping, and is fairly centrally located. It is lacking the top-end dayclub like MGM Grand, but is a solid choice for any bachelor party.
- Aria is one of our favorite hotels for any trip and has a great central location and hotel pool. The nightlife (Jewel) and dayclub (Liquid) are just not as bachelor party friendly as some of the other. But you can’t go wrong with the location that would give you access to everything.
- Bellagio
MGM Grand: Party Hearty
This is our top pick for bachelor parties that want to rage. Hakkasan is a top night club that features top talent like Calvin Harris, Tiesto, and _____. Wet Republic is one of the top dayclubs and pool parties and will have tons of bachelorette parties to mingle with. And MGM Grand has one of the best hotel (i.e. ‘free’) pools on the strip, with multiple pool areas and an adult-friendly lazy river. In addition, the coolest Top Golf in the country is on-premises, including two pools that you can take a dip.
MGM Grand is huge and offers tons of food options, from a quick food court to some of our favorite restaurants on the strip. You can get beer and burgers, steak, fine dining, and basically anything you’re heart desires. It would be very easy to drop in MGM Grand on Thursday and never leave until you head to the airport 3 days later. It’s also pretty close to T-Mobile arena and Allegiant Stadium if you wanted to catch a concert, Vegas Golden Knight game, or Raiders game in 2020.
MGM SKYLOFT SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand Skyline Terrace Suite Staywell Grand Queen
As for rooms, if want to ball out, you can do a 2 bedroom SKYLOFT for $1,452 a night or $4,939 for June 11-14th. This would be 3,000 square feet, 1 king, 2 queens, pool table, and awesome experience. For 7 guys (the technical max), that would be about $700/guy for the weekend.
For a Stay Well Grand Queen room, which is slightly upgraded, but we recommend, it would be $677 per room, so $390/guy for 2 to a room or $170/guy for 4 to a room. You can see that this is a pretty affordable way to take in Vegas in a well-enough appointed room that’s over 430 square feet.
Overall, if you are going to Vegas to party hard, hit the clubs and the pools, MGM Grand is an awesome choice. It offers something for everyone, has plenty to do, and is close enough to the things you’d be doing. In addition, it usually has pretty good prices on rooms, but also offers awesome Sky Suite experiences if you want to completely ball out.
Caesars Palace: Party Hearty Runner-Up
Caesars Palace would be my second choice in this category and if it’s good enough for the guys in The Hangover, it’s good enough for me.
Other Party Hearty Vegas hotels to consider: The LINQ, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, New York-New York, Park MGM
- The LINQ has a great location, ziplines, the promenade with live music and lots to do. It is centrally located, so you can get everywhere fairly easy. But it doesn’t have the on-site party that other options have.
- The Flamingo is a great centrally located budget option with a great hotel pool and affordable options. Again, it doesn’t have the onsite party vibe, but is across the street or next to plenty of party options.
- Planet Hollywood: Young, hip vibe. I’ve heard it called a poor man’s Cosmo. When the Jersey Shore cast took over Vegas, they stayed in Planet Hollywood.
- New York-New York/Park MGM: We are throwing these two together because they have a lot of similar features. They both are fairly affordable, have affordable food options, have a good young vibe, and cheap tables for gambling for the strip. Neither have great pool options or great nightlife, but if you want a cheap place to gamble and drink, both are pretty good options.
Wynn or Encore: Upscale All The Way
The Wynn and Encore would bring the cool to your bachelor party. Encore is where the party happens, as it is home to XS, one of the most spectacular dayclubs and nightclubs in the world. The quality of talent that hits XS make it the place to be and is our #1 nightclub for 2020. You will find Drake, The Chainsmokers, and more at the hottest club in Vegas.
XS is our favorite club if you want to ball out and get bottle service or just be with the beautiful people. It is one of the most over-the-top club experiences in the country and the perfect place to hook up with bachlorette parties.
The food scene at Wynn & encore are awesome, with tons of options including some of the best restaurants on the strip. The casino is awesome and the sports book is nice, but you won’t find the best odds unless you have money to burn and often the minimums are high, especially on the weekends. But if you have money to throw around, Wynn is an awesome place to do it.
The Wynn also features one of the best golf courses in Vegas right on the strip. The price is steep ($550/round), but if you have the means, it’s a great course and would be an amazing experience. Clubs are included in the greens fee, so no need to decide before you go if you want to hit the links.
The only knock on the Wynn is the location is not central, but if you want a place to go and stay (or visit other near casinos like Venetian even Caesars), it’s one of our favorites.
Other Upscale All the Way Vegas hotels to consider: Venetian, Palazzo, Cromwell, Aria, & Mandalay Bay.
- Venetian & Palazzo are together a huge hotel, all suites, great food options, good nightlife. It gets a lot of convention traffic during the summer and fall & is not centrally located, which drops it down slightly, but you can’t go wrong here.
- Cromwell has a great location and good pool party (Drai’s) and nightlife, but it’s a bit more boutique.
- Aria is one of our favorite hotels for any trip and has a great central location and hotel pool. The nightlife (Jewel) and dayclub (Liquid) are just not as bachelor party friendly as some of the other. But you can’t go wrong with the location that would give you access to everything.
- Mandalay Bay checks all the boxes with a good dayclub, fun nightclub, young vibe, great views & good food options, but it’s location drops it down for most trips. If you are tying a bachelor party to a Raider game, this is THE location.
The D: Downtown Debauchery
The D is our favorite hotel downtown. In reviews, the number one complaint is it is too loud and the fun goes long into the night. That sounds like the perfect spot for a bachelor party if you want to get off the strip.
If you have never considered downtown Vegas, it’s definitely different than the strip, but in many ways a better fit for some bachelor parties. The prices are a bit lower, the gambling odds are better, and the people are usually more down to earth. If you want to drink beer, hit on girls, and hit up the bars, it’s a good option. You won’t find the megaclubs and $80 drinks that go with them, but I’m sure you’ll survive!
That said, staying at the D will give you many of the same ammenitities as you expect in Vegas. They have great food, our favorite steakhouse downtown, a fun vibe, good gambling, and a great sports book. It is also connected to the Fremont Experience which offers ziplining, live entertainment, and plenty of fun all around.
Golden Nugget: Runner Up
In a very close second place, the Golden Nugget is another great option for a bachelor party downtown. The D may have a better vibe, but the Golden Nugget has the better pool, ranked our best on the strip. If that’s a top consideration, Golden Nugget might be the choice. They have more food options and one of our favorite steakhouses, along with access to all Fremont Street has to offer. You can’t go wrong either way!
Other Downtown Debauchery Vegas hotels to consider: Downtown Grand, 4 Queens, Plaza
