Free Things to Do in Vegas

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens: This is my personal favorite attraction in Vegas, showing off beautiful, seasonal landscapes through the use of flowers and plants. This is right pas the Bellagio lobby and is an absolute must.

Bellagio Fountains: Arguably the most icon show on the strip, this water show to a wide variety of music is so very Vegas. The first show starts at noon and the last usually ends just after midnight. Check the schedule for exact times, but it goes every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the day and the time.

Explore the Casinos: There is no better people-watching in the world than wandering through the casinos in Vegas. Whether you explore in the morning when the crowds are thin or walk through on a busy Saturday night, there’s always interesting sights and sounds.

VEGAS INSPIRED COLLECTIONS

Relax by the Pool: Almost all the hotels on the strip have pools (some better than others), but being by the water is required when the temps get up over 100 degrees.

Be Like Drake and make your own rendition of the Music Video Hotline Bling: At Akhob by James Turrell at Louis Vuitton inside Crystals, you can make this a reality. It’s free, but you will need a reservation.

Take your next profile pic a the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign: One of the most iconic signs in America, it’s a big of a hike to get there, but the pictures are worth it!

Check out the Mirage Volcano: Another on-strip attraction, this fire show will heat up any night. The show happens at 6 PM, 7 PM, 8 PM, 9 PM, 10 PM, and 11 PM nightly in front of the Mirage.

Take a stroll through the canals of Venice at the Venetian: There’s plenty of shopping, gelato, and singing from the gondolas. It’s another beautiful space that you will only find in Vegas without a cross-ocean flight.

Experience Atlantis Fountain Show at The Forum Shops: This animatronic show brings back memories of Chucky Cheese, but with much more fire. Shows are on the hour every hour from 11am – 11pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends.

Take in the Fremont Street Experience: Take a break from the strip and check out the Fremont Experience downtown. You will find live music, street performers, and the people-watching is top-notch. Beware that it can get a bit “adult” at night, but the new screen above the street is a sight to see.

Hang out with the King’s spirit at Big Elvis at Harrah’s Piano Bar: Elvis is King and his spirit is still alive at Harrah’s Piano Bar. Shows MON-WED-FRI 2PM 330PM AND 5PM

Wynn’s Lake of Dreams Show: The other amazing water feature on the strip, The Wynn’s Lake of Dreams Show is a sight to see. Shows run nightly, every half hour beginning at 6 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Dinner and a show? Lakeside & SW Steakhouse both have awesome views of the Lake of Dreams and the show.

Check out the animals at the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat: The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is nestled on the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel’s lush 15-acre grounds, the habitat is filled with exotic birds, fish and turtles. Open daily, dawn to dusk. Pelican feedings: 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily

Stroll the LINQ Promenade: Live music fills the air as zip liners fly overhead. There’s always things going on! At the end of the promenade is the High Roller, which isn’t free, but watching people always is!

Visit the Circus-Circus Circus: The rides aren’t cheap, but the people watching is!

Get some free samples at the Ether M: And while you’re eating your chocolate, check out the largest botanical cactus garden in the world.

Check out the M&M World: Watch the free 3-D movie with your favorite M&M Red and Yellow

Walk through the Cosmopolitan hotel: It’s one of our favorite casino floors with tons of Instagramable areas like the oversized high heels. Don’t miss the second floor with amazing art and murals are throughout the mezzanine level.

Check out the Pawn Star shop in Downtown Vegas: See where the magic happens for the hit show.

Walk to Vegas Strip: We saved the best for last. You’re in Vegas, so enjoy the strip! Whether you’re taking pictures over the walkways or just wondering from one end to the other, hitting the strip is a must do on every Vegas trip!
