Another deadline has been shifted due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The NFL schedule, which was due to be released next week (one week before the draft) has been delayed until May 9th.

As of early April, the NFL is still planning to hold a virtual NFL draft and play a full 16-game NFL season, but as we’ve learned over the past few weeks, nothing can be set in stone. The May 9th announcement deadline fits into the conventional wisdom that the US should be past the peak of the outbreak by then and the NFL will have extra data points to help make understand the landscape at that time.

That said, all is not lost. We know who the Raiders will play in 2020, we just don’t yet know when. This is frustrating for all teams, but in particular for the Raiders, as the Raider Nation will be moving into a new home and expectations are fans will be coming from around the country to fill the new home of the Raiders, Allegiant Stadium.

This also means tickets and the 3rd party ticket market will also be delayed. Raiders fans who have been waiting patiently to secure their spot in history will have to wait another 3+ weeks before tickets are for sale. Season tickets and PSLs are sold out, so markets like Stub Hub & the NFL Ticket Exchange will be the only way to secure your tickets.
