The NFL has maintained throughout the COVID-crisis that they plan on moving forward with the 2020 season as previously planned. When the NFL schedule was released, it included all pre-season games and the NFL opener starting as planned. With reports that the virus is still not under control, the cracks around that plan are already showing. And the first cancellation will likely be the pre-season.
Whatever hijinks the Las Vegas Raiders partake in during summer training camp this year, it can never compare to the fun and frivolity of the infamous, self-proclaimed, ‘Santa Rosa Five.’
Hosting their first home game in their sleek new stadium, Allegiant Stadium, the Vegas Raiders face the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, August 27th, 2020 at 7:00 PM (MST). Although it is just a preseason game, and all of the starters might not suit up for the entirety of the game, it still gives Raiders fans from all over the world a chance to watch their team play in their fancy new stadium.
Raider Nation is one of the most intimidating fan bases in all of professional sports, but under all the spikes, face paint, and masks lie hearts bigger than the nation they represent. As many players, staff, and even fans make their way to call Las Vegas home, a well-known voice of Raider Nation is sending out a request to make incredible changes in the lives of the city’s youth.
