    • Le Villiage Buffet at Paris
    • Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood

Vegas is one of our favorite places to eat in the world and when we’re really hungry, the Vegas buffet is always a good choice. The buffet is part of the fabric of Vegas and even if they are no longer the cheapest option on the strip, there’s still something about having access to anything your heart desires that screams Vegas.

So whether you get buffets comped through your room, you’re looking for discounts, or you can’t decide between steak, seafood, or Italian, these Vegas buffets are our picks for 2023.

#1. Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace

Why we love it: Bacchanal is what happens when the best and brightest culinary minds get $100 million budget to reimagine the Las Vegas Buffet. Everything you thought you knew about buffets should go out the window when you visit Bacchanal, one of the titans of the Vegas buffet industry.

It was our top choice in 2020 and is still our top buffet recommendation in 2023. Bacchanal serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.

How are we loading up our plate: For breakfast, we love the acai breakfast bowl, red velvet pancakes and lump crab avocado toast. For lunch, the green applewood smoked wagyu, seafood laksa, and truffle deviled eggs are must-try. Crab legs are available after 3:00 pm on weekdays (all day on weekends) and are a must if you love seafood.

Save room for dessert with the made-to-order dessert crepe bar, homemade gelato/sorbet, and everyone’s favorite creme brulee.

We also add the all-you-can-drink package for $15 which includes draft beer, house wines, & mimosas.

From the website: Feast your eyes on the succulent presentations from your seat in the air, water, or wood-themed section of the dining rooms. Choose from hundreds of daily offerings, with many dishes uniquely displayed on small plates. Bacchanal Buffet’s team of specialized chefs oversees the preparation of the majority of the food in front of the guests while cohesively working to present nine distinct restaurants in one location.

Can’t choose between the rosemary marinated tri-tip and dry-rubbed smoked spare ribs? Try both! Mini salads, such as the watermelon with sweet vinegar dressing, let you try individually presented items.

Fill your plates to the top with prime rib, chilled crab legs, and oysters or opt for char-grilled t-bone Australian lamb, hand-made dim sum, pho, and baked-to-order chocolate lava cakes.

#2. Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan

Why we love it: It is the most creative buffet in Vegas and fits perfectly with the upscale, hip vibe of the Cosmo. In 2023, Wicked Spoon is our second favorite Vegas buffet based on the quality of the food, the unique dishes, and a slightly lower price point than other top buffets.

As of 2023, Wicked Spoon only offers breakfast & lunch service, so be sure to make the 2:30pm or 3:30pm final seating if you want to enjoy.

Most of the options at Wicked Spoon are on individual plates, ensuring you get a taste while leaving room to try everything. And you’ll want to try everything, even though it might take a couple of trips to make it around the culinary world. From sushi to salads to bone marrow to pasta to fried chicken to duck tacos & kimchi fried rice, Wicked Spoon will delight your taste buds and leave you wanting more.

How are we loading up our plate: For brunch, we are grabbing egg benedict, chicken and waffles, and whatever else we can carry. We will start with a samplings of the salads, but quickly move to a full sampling of the Asian dishes, from sushi & egg rolls, to kimchi fried rice. I’m then stopping by the pasta station to grab whatever catches my fancy before finishing up with bone marrow and fried chicken.

For dessert, I want to try one of everything but will settle for the chocolate cake, mini pastries, and Gelato.

From the website: A bustling culinary food hall, the Wicked Spoon delivers well-crafted original selections for every appetite. With its mix of top quality, familiar staples and imaginative seasonal dishes, this Las Vegas buffet satisfies cravings and invites discovery.

#3. The Buffet at The Wynn

Why we love it: If this was a beauty contest, The Buffet at Wynn would be in the running for Miss America. It is a beautiful space, with high arching ceilings, beautiful plant installations throughout, and a classy decor that feels more like a beautiful villa than a Vegas buffet.

This isn’t a beauty pageant, it’s more Man vs Food and The Wynn Buffet offers a wide selection of dishes across 15 stations.

How are we loading up our plate: For breakfast, we would have eggs, lemon ricotta & red velvet pancakes, orange and white chocolate French toast and Meyer lemon and ricotta crepe. During brunch, I might also do the lobster & arugula quiche, pizza, Creole shrimp, and crab cake benny.

For more on the lunch side of brunch, I would sample the carving station (brown sugar & mustard glazed bone in ham), pepper crusted maple bacon, & a number of sausages and other eats. Mongolian beef tenderloins, sweet chili wings, mac and cheese, and all the classic sides are also available.

For dinner, fish and chips, crab legs, oysters, chicken and waffles, seafood, and muscles are all part of the dinner buffet along with many of the lunch iteams mentioned above. I wouldn’t miss the prime rib, bbq ribs, lamb chops, steak, and pork belly bao. There is truly something for everyone.

From the website: Walk through a floral-lined, sunny atrium to a global array of more than 120 artfully presented dishes and 15 live-action cooking stations. Visit the patisserie, whose warm pastries, cakes and confections are made daily by our own pastry chefs. Every Friday and Saturday The Buffet offers a seafood spectacular, with steamed Alaskan snow crab legs, oysters on the half shell, Prince Edward Island mussels and more.

Scrumptious holiday favorites are on everyone’s wish list. Visit The Buffet this season and enjoy festive dishes of every kind.

    #4. Bellagio Buffet at Bellagio

Why we love it: The gourmet dinner on the weekends is one of the only buffets to offer Ikura and Tobiko caviar. It also features king crab, legs of lamb, and one of my favorites, assorted dim sum. Snow crabs are available nightly, with kings crabs available on the weekends. The everyday dinner includes prime rib, paella, brisket, shrimp and a wide selection of seafood.

How are we loading up our plate: For breakfast we are having the eggs or corn beef hash Benedict, made to order omelets, French toast and cinnamon rolls. For lunch, I want the fried rice and pot stickers, with salmon/cod/barramundi.

For dinner, I want to start with the caviar, move to crab legs and shrimp, and have some tasty paella. On the weekends, I’m loading up on dim sum and king crab legs.

From the website: Leave your misconceptions of buffet dining at the door, because The Buffet at Bellagio is an experience like no other in Las Vegas. Here, our talented chefs bring together the freshest ingredients and the best dishes from around the world, including Italian, Japanese, Chinese and American cuisines plus a whole lot more. #5. MGM Grand Buffet at MGM Grand

Why we love it: American breakfasts done right, the MGM Grand Buffet breakfast offers made to order omelets, eggs, biscuits & gravy, pancakes and waffles and everything you’d expect for an All-America breakfast.

How are we loading up our plate: MGM Grand offers the traditional buffet choices for dinner including prime rib, hot or cold crab legs, shrimp cocktail, bbq ribs, fried chicken, sushi, and all the sides and massive salad bar you’d expect. MGM Grand Buffet offers everything you’d expect from a Vegas buffet and trends towards a more traditional offering than Aria, Wicked Spoon, and Bacchanal, but for many, that’s a good thing.

From the website: The MGM Grand Buffet’s enormous array of cuisine is sure to grant your culinary wishes. From the Champagne brunch to the endless beer and wine with our dinner Prime Rib and Crab Legs, guests will find plenty of favorite dishes.
